FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: September 7 , 2007 Houston Professional Fire Fighters Houston –James Rodriguez, candidate for Houston City Council, District I is proud to announce the endorsement of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 341. The endorsement was made last night, Thursday, September 6, at a meeting of the organization’s membership. Local 341 represents over 3,800 of Houston’s bravest men and women. “I am humbled and honored to be endorsed by the men and women that put their lives on the line everyday on behalf of the people of our great city. I am committed to be an advocate for their concerns and will work to make sure they have the necessary resources and equipment so that they can continue to be the most effective first responders” said Rodriguez. “As chief of staff for Council Member Carol Alvarado, I enjoyed a close and productive working relationship with the leadership of Local 341. As the next city council member from District I, I will be a strong voice working on their behalf” added Rodriguez. The election is Tuesday, November 6, 2007. ###
